A visual inspection of everything reasonably accessible, roof coverings, walls, floors, windows, services, damp readings and the loft. You get traffic-light condition ratings for each element, with urgent defects clearly flagged.

Is a Level 2 right for my property?

It suits conventional homes built after around 1900 that appear in reasonable condition. If the property is older, extended, altered or visibly tired, a Level 3 Building Survey is the better fit, and your matched surveyor will confirm the right level before anything is booked.

How quickly can the inspection happen?
